John Jackson (law professor)

John Jackson (3 March 1932 – 7 November 2015) was a professor at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., USA, and taught international trade law at the Georgetown University Law Center. He organized the International Economic Law Group of the American Society of International Law, and was one of the chief architects of the World Trade Organization.〔J Jackson, Restructuring the GATT System, Pinter Publishers, London, 1990, pp38-41〕
He was the director of the Institute of International Economic Law, Georgetown University Law Center and editor-in-chief of the ''Journal of International Economic Law''.
